When I was named as the HR Director over TAPFIN, Jamiel took me under his wing and invited me to his Leadership meeting at his condos in Florida…

I’m sure there was some trepidation by the team wondering who this HR lady is from Corporate and what does she want!  I totally understand that…however, Jamiel was so awesome, inviting me and welcoming me and showing the team that he trusted me and that I was “cool”…that was one of the best things that could happen to someone in HR – his immediate embrace of me and trusting that when I said I was here to help…was clearly picked up by the team and they accepted me immediately.  I felt so included and never took for granted how special it is to be in and among such a tight knit think tank that loved their work and each other. I felt part of the family cooking and sharing laughs with everyone from the get go…I was one of the last ones to leave the party that night! And, hopefully helped influence Jamiel NOT to send the email to Jonas that we all thought was hilarious but perhaps Jonas may not have appreciated the humor as much as we did!  LOL 

Jamiel and the entire team are some of the most thoughtful and caring people I’ve ever met…
