What is a Jamielism?

A Jamielism is a phrase used in a metaphoric way to describe an event, situation, or desired outcome. Jamielisms typically use colorful analogies that are borne of a particular region or experience background (such as “a southern saying”). The term “Jamielism” isn’t an official term, but one I use in honor of a friend and colleague of mine who has unintended provided me with a number of these phrases.
